Short-notice aircraft transitions to Utair fly out for Avolon – in partnership with FL Technics.

After a maintenance check at the FL Technics facility in Kaunas, Lithuania, the MAAS facility inducted two Boeing 737-800s owned by lessor Avolon. Both aircraft required a full strip and then repainting in the Utair livery. FL Technics supported the transition with part 145/CRS.

The MAAS team managed multiple changes throughout the plan for both aircraft due to challenges with the global supply of aircraft parts. Close collaboration with Avolon and FL Technics ensured the time-sensitive painting plan could accommodate last minute changes.

“We had a requirement to have two Boeing 737-800’s fully stripped and repainted on very short notice. The MAAS team stepped up to the plate as soon as we contacted them and were extremely helpful. They demonstrated a high degree of flexibility and were very proactive when some last- minute changes to the liveries needed to be incorporated at the request of our customer. The resulting paint finish on both aircraft was to an excellent standard and the aircraft departed the facility on-time and on-budget.”
