Expressair Aviation Limited (trading as MAAS Aviation) recognises the importance of robustly managing Health & Safety and enhancing the health and wellbeing of our employees. This is achieved through the identification, elimination or control of the risks to health, safety and welfare of our employees, business partners, customers, suppliers and visitors who may be affected by our operations.

Compliance with legislation is the minimum acceptable standard and we are fully committed to achieving the highest levels of Health & Safety performance through continual improvement.

Scope

This policy statement applies to all Expressair Aviation Limited (trading as MAAS Aviation) employees, locations and activities, and takes into account the wide range of Health & Safety regulations under which we operate.

Our Health & Safety Core Principles

We believe that everyone has a role to play in achieving our Health & Safety goals, hence our policy is underpinned by the following core principles:

  • Ensure that safety, health and wellbeing are integral to the way in which we manage our business and provide visible leadership that promotes positive behaviours.
  • Each Business Area is responsible for implementing this Policy in full.
  • Each Business Area is to allocate and communicate clear duties and responsibilities for safety, health and wellbeing at Executive Board, Senior Management, Line Management and employee level to implement this Policy.

Our Health & Safety Commitments

We commit to:

  • Comply with Health & Safety legislation and standards to which the Company is subject.
  • Prevent injury and ill health by creating and maintaining a healthy and safe working environment through the identification of hazards, and assessing and controlling the associated level of risk.
  • Investigate work-related accidents, incidents and occurrences of ill-health that do occur to identify both the immediate and root causes, and take the necessary action to prevent such incidents from recurring.
  • Communicate this policy to all employees so that everyone is aware of their individual health and safety obligations.
  • Provide Health & Safety information, instructions and training to employees that is appropriate to their location, duties and responsibilities.
  • Encourage our suppliers and vendors to adopt good industry practice in the management of Health & Safety.
  • Conduct continual improvement in our management of Health & Safety performance.

Measuring and Reporting on our Health & Safety Performance

  • We will monitor and review our Health & Safety performance against the principles and commitments set out in this policy.
  • We will periodically audit our health and safety management system to ensure continued adequacy and effectiveness and revise when necessary.
  • The Executive Board has overall responsibility for approving and reviewing this policy.
