New paint shop in Lithuania

After two years of exceptional effort and co-operation of the highest quality from our fantastic team, all of our colleagues at Invest Lithuania and the Lithuanian Airports Authority, MAAS Aviation proudly opened its new state-of-the-art paint shop at Kaunas Airport (KUN) in January 2021.

MASS Aviation launches new purpose-built paint shop in Kaunas, Lithuania.

The facility, which is the first of its kind in Lithuania, grows MAAS Aviation’s global footprint to eleven best-in-class paint shops and increases our overall MRO capacity in Europe by 40%.

Designed to achieve the highest industry quality standards, the OEM quality facility features the very latest technologies, including systems to ensure safe and secure operations and to manage the environmental impact of the site.

The ultra-modern Lithuanian facility is the result of a multi-million Euro investment by MAAS Aviation. It comprises a twin-bay narrow body paint shop capable of accommodating up to two A321 sized aircraft simultaneously. The fully-lined clean paint shops also feature high-lux lighting, full climate control, computerised building management systems and datalogging. Aircraft access docking systems also eliminate the risk of damaging aircraft during painting.

All MAAS Aviation facilities are certified to EN9100, ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards and the Kaunas shop will operate to these standards from the outset.
