MAAS Aviation is a global leader in aircraft painting, known for its exceptional quality and performance in aircraft refinishing. We operate from state-of-the-art paint facilities in the Netherlands and Lithuania, servicing key airlines such as easyJet and Ryanair.
As we prepare for our next operational season starting October 25, we are expanding our team and are seeking motivated, hard-working individuals to join us in entry-level prepper and painter roles.
Whether you’re starting a new career or have prior painting experience, MAAS Aviation offers a strong foundation for a long-term career in the aircraft painting industry.
As an Aircraft Painter at MAAS Aviation, you will be an essential member of our paint team, working in shifts to ensure high-quality paint application to commercial aircraft.
Under the guidance of experienced team leaders and coordinators, you will play a hands-on role in the full painting process, including surface preparation, masking, sanding, washing, and eventually primer and base coat application.
This is more than a job – it’s a career opportunity for those with the right mindset. At MAAS Aviation, you’ll have access to an intensive training programme and a clear growth path that can lead from entry-level roles to team leadership, and even production management positions.
Ideal for candidates with prior painting experience in automotive or industrial settings. This role suits those who can scale quickly into the aircraft painting domain and grow into intermediate and advanced painting roles.
- Practical experience in surface preparation and paint application
- Familiarity with industrial painting processes and safety
- Ability to adapt and follow aviation-specific standards
- Open to learning and team collaboration
- Set up and dismantle scaffolding, docking systems, and work platforms.
- Masking and demasking of aircraft surfaces.
- Stripping, sanding, and surface preparation of aircraft exteriors.
- Chemical washing and cleaning to aviation standards.
- Painting application including primer and top/base coats.
- Assist in quality checks and stage inspections with production leader.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and workplace standards.
- Maintain tools and working area according to operational guidelines.
- Work in rotating shifts alongside your team.
- Respecting health and safety, and following safe and healthy working conditions, preventative and protective measures.
- Attention to detail: A keen eye for detail is a must. When painting an aircraft, every little imperfection matters — positive attitude
- Good work ethic: You should be a team player, motivated, committed to following instructions, always be on time, and a true representation of the MAAS brand.
- Self-starter: A strong desire to learn and develop your career.
- Safety mindset: Safety first, always. It is essential you care about safety rules for handling paints and chemicals, to protect yourself and your team.
- Rotating shifts: You need to be willing to work in rotating shifts alongside your team.
- Physical strength and stamina: This job can be a workout! You might be on your feet for hours, stretching to reach high spots, or lifting heavy paint supplies.
- True quality mindset: Painting an aircraft isn’t a quick job, and rushing can lead to mistakes. It takes patience to apply multiple coats, work on detailed designs, and wait for everything to dry perfectly.
- Language skills: Basic English or Polish.
- Communication style: Friendly and polite, focused on the effective sharing of information and collaboration.
- Intensive training and mentorship program
- Career growth path
- Permanent contract upon successful onboarding
- Competitive salary and shift premiums
- Accommodation provided when working away from home
- A stable, supportive, and professional work environment
- A long-term future in a growing international company
This role isn’t for everyone. It demands discipline, physical effort, and a strong desire to build something for yourself.
But if you have the DNA of a doer – hard-working, reliable, team-focused, and ambitious – then this is your opportunity to launch a unique and fulfilling career.
If you’re ready to take the first step into the aircraft painting industry, apply now and join the MAAS Aviation team.
