World-class aircraft paint shops

We operate a global network of custom-built, state-of-art aircraft painting facilities of our own design. All MAAS Aviation paint shops are operated to OEM quality standards and are EN9100, ISO9001 and ISO14001 certified.

The specification of our ultra-modern facilities reflects our design expertise. Our fully-lined clean paint shops incorporate digitized building management systems to monitor and control the temperature and humidity in the paint shop and paint storage areas during the pre-paint preparation, painting and curing processes, providing objective data points which validate the conformance to material specifications.

Emergency response measures include fire protection systems compliant to the NFPA 409 standard, waste management systems to manage the flow, separation, storage and disposal of hazardous materials, and hangar lighting systems illuminate working areas on and around the aircraft at measurements up to 1,000 lux. Our use of aircraft access docking systems eliminates the risk of damaging aircraft during painting, due to the avoidance of moving equipment.

In January 2021 we opened our newest facility in Kaunas, Lithuania, and in March 2024 we completed two new paint bays at our USA site. We now have thirteen paint shops: three in Hamburg; two in Kaunas; two in Maastricht; one at Fokker Woensdrecht; and five in Mobile, Alabama.
